The Story

Château HAUT GAUSSENS is a family owned property of 15 hectares situated on a privileged terroir of Verac village just by the border of the Fronsac appellation. Under the management of Stephane Lhuilier since 2000 (3rd generation of winemakers in the family) the quality of the wines have know a thundering improvement due to the environmental friendly viticulture and the investment made in the cellar.

The Taste

Intense purple color. Beautiful red fruits and spices on the nose . Fresh and fruity the wine opens towards an intense medium-full body with velvety power, which is quite exceptional for the vintage.

Food Pairing: This wine will perfectly accompany flavorful (red or white) meat dishes such as rib-eye steak, porterhouse steak, sirloin steak, T-bone steak … And of course, will also easily and gracefully accompany more simpler dishes like pizza and/or most barbecued foods.
